Freelancers
The following information is relevant to the Freelancers. The information covers the different aspects of being a Freelancer member of the 99Freelance.com marketplace. If there are any questions, please contact us.
I/ Selecting and Accepting Projects: The Freelancers and Buyers control the scope of the projects by negotiating the requirements before a bid is selected and before any work is performed. Using our private message board (PMB), the communication between the Freelancers and the Buyers provide a record of the requirements.
II/ Escrow Account: When a bid is selected, the project cost is deposited by the Buyer from the Buyer's account into an escrow account . When the work is completed, the project cost is released by the Buyer from the escrow account into the Freelancer's account, less service fees charged by 99Freelance.com and fees charged by financial institutions.
III/ Funding Sources: 99Freelance.com uses several funding vehicles to allow the transfer of funds to and from the members' accounts. These include PayPal, major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), debit cards, Moneybookers, and Wirestransfer. The Freelancer will be responsible for all fees charged by the financial institutions when transferring funds to the Freelancer's account.
IV/ U.S. Currency: All project costs and service fees associated with each project are determined based on U.S. currency (dollars) only.
V/ Service Fees: For every completed project, the Freelancer pays a service fee to 99Freelance.com. The fee is the same whether the Freelancer is selected for an open bidding project or a design project. This service fee is automatically deducted from the amount transfered from the escrow account to the Freelancer's account.
VI/ Cancellation: There is no service fee to the Freelancer if the project is cancelled by mutual agreement between the Buyer and the Freelancer.
VII/ Dispute: Buyers and Freelancers should attempt to resolve any disputes among them. The disputes may result in the full cancellation of the project or with partial payments.
VIII/ Dispute Resolution Service: If the dispute cannot be resolved between the Buyers and the Freelancers, 99Freelancers can resolve the dispute for a fee. Please refer to our dispute resolution section for detail information.
