Buyers
The following information is relevant to the Buyers. The information covers the different aspects of being a Buyer member of the 99Freelance.com marketplace. If there are any questions, please contact us.
I/ Selecting and Accepting Projects: The Freelancers and Buyers control the scope of the projects by negotiating the requirements before a bid is selected and before any work is performed. Using our private message board (PMB), the communication between the Freelancers and the Buyers provide a record of the requirements.
II/ Escrow Account: When a bid is selected, the project cost is deposited by the Buyer from the Buyer's account into an escrow account . When the work is completed, the project cost is released by the Buyer from the escrow account into the Freelancer's account.
III/ Funding Sources: 99Freelance.com uses several funding vehicles to allow the transfer of funds to and from the members' accounts. These include PayPal, major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), debit cards, Moneybookers, and wirestransfers.
IV/ U.S. Currency: All project costs and service fees associated with each project are determined based on U.S. currency (dollars) only.
V/ Service Fees - Open bidding projects: There is no fee to post a new project. When a Buyer selects a Freelancer for a project, the Buyer pays a service fee to 99Freelance.com. This service fee is automatically deducted from Buyer's account.
VI/ Service Fees - Showcase Design projects: The service fee for a design project with the showcase option is automatically deducted from the Buyer's account when the project is opened.
VII/ Cancellation and Refund: For all open-bidding projects, there is no service fee if the Buyer cancels the project before selecting any Freelancer. After the Buyer selects a Freelancer and the Freelancer agrees to the Buyer's selection, the service fee is collected and not refundable. However, if the Freelancer denies the Buyer's selection, the service fee is refundable. The service fee for showcase design projects is non-refundable.
VIII/ Dispute: Buyers and Freelancers should attempt to resolve any disputes between them.
IX/ Dispute Resolution Service: If the dispute cannot be resolved between the Buyers and the Freelancers, 99Freelancers can resolve the dispute for a fee. Please refer to the dispute resolution section for more information.
